Home accent - Flowers

Few more days and we officially get into the Spring Season. There are so many reasons why we love the Spring... I won't start to name them, as they are too many, but I will tell you one of my favorite one: the flower shops are filled with flowers. So, I start to have this urge of decorating my house and shop with flowers. Which I already did.
A person who loves interior design must agree with me that there's no such thing as "a house without plans/flowers". I love them whether they are in vases or planted, in gardens or in their natural habitat.
I found this beautiful selection of images on Melissa Loves's blog. The beauty of this arrangements stands in the simplicity of the bouquet.  I'm so looking forward to raise some money and get some vases with orchids and tulips.  I bet they will look amazing.
Have a good week and a lovely 1st of March.

Love is Sweet at Happy Decor Boutique

Photos by: patakiphotography
Model: Gabriela Popescu
Location and Decoration: Happy Decor Boutique
Chef : Torok Evelyn

Hi, there! how was your Valentine's Day? I was never  a big enthusiast of this day, but this year was a special one. I had to prepare my shop for the "celebration of love". My friend Evelyn came with the idea of  a shooting in the Boutique and to have as theme "Love is Sweet". She brought yummy cupcakes and cookies, Mihai came with a nice camera and talent, I added some ideas here and there and Gabriela filled the room with joy and light ( she has an amazing bright smile :) ) . The atmosphere was so nice because of the music : Candymen, Love is in the Air and Moulin Rouge soundtrack. We had a brilliant day so the pictures came pretty amazing. Some continued the Valentine's Day (Tuesday )dancing for few hours and singing lowed.
Thank you girls. You mean a lot to me and you make me laugh like crazy all the time . xoxox

Stylish Cold Winter

 pics from We Heart It
February, in my opinion, is the most boring month. The Holidays are forgotten, the weather is changing drastically and we are waiting for the spring to come. So, the best thing to do is to enjoy the winter, how much is left of it ( go skiing or do any kind of winter sports) or stay home and cook, or do any type of activity you like the most.
But, I'm pretty sure that 80% of us, have to go to work. Another boring activity. But why not transform  it an interesting event. How? add more style to your wardrobe, wear some chic accessories  or a fresh make-up. It might help. It's helping me.
Here are some pics which might inspire you.

Till next time: everything you do, do it differently.

... just pictures

Although I tried to avoid making wishing lists, I couldn't stop myself of expressing my desires in a small list. The pictures below are re-blogged from My Mind In  and they reflect a part of what I would like to do now.

I just want to run away with my best friends, somewhere hot and have fun.
To meet my brother in Thailand and spend a month doing nothing but leaving the moment.
 Read a lot of books.
Buy a puppy and play with him all day long.

Paint, draw and just get crazy in my studio. Let my mind be free and express through painting my emotions

Take pictures. Observe and enjoy the black&white processing

Get a tattoo ( but not this big )

Drink a very good glass of sweet wine in a nice bar, somewhere in Provence

And the picture speaks to itself

Classic is back in town

For the reason that lately I was more and more into classics:  music, movies, clothes or pictures, I couldn't help myself not to post  another article about this.
What other combination but blue and brown, in all their shades, can be more elegant? In my opinion is the most flexible and unisex comb.
I was looking for the perfect shades of brown and blue, and I was happy to come across this amazing pictures from Riverdale collection. The reaction: this is it !?
For a moment  I've lost my inspiration , but now I'm back in shape and I'm working on my first collection for this year.
Have a crazy weekend, but take care.

Mad Men fashion from "Banana Republic"

“Banana Republic and AMC are proud to announce the first-ever limited edition “Mad Men” inspired collection for men and women. The collection is designed by Banana Republic in collaboration with “Mad Men” Emmy® Award-winning Costume Designer Janie Bryant and will be carried in Banana Republic’s North American stores and online.

A beautiful collection, isn't' it? . I wish I could see more often men and women dressed  this way . Feminine, glamorous and clean, this style was always my favorite one. If you really want to look amazing on a wedding or event, you will never fail wearing clothes inspired from that period. I came across this pictures when I was looking for a dress for an important event which will happen in summer.  I will definitely go for a green dress with very classic cuts, pearls and black shoes and clutch. What do you think of that?
Wish you all a great day.

Celebration

Today I have my first "one month" celebration since I opened my store. My very first one and more to come, I hope. In one month I had: 12 000 viewers on my blog Happy Decor Boutique  , 420 likes on Facebook, 3 features in different blogs, 1 article in a local newspaper, good sales,  lots of congrats from costumers and excitement from family and friends. I never thought that things will move this fast and people appreciate it so much. When I started the process of building this business I told my mom: even if I will have it open for 1 day it will worth the effort...now I can say: even if I will manage to keep it going till after Christmas, it will worth it.... let's see what will happen.  There are a lot of other things to be done but for now I'm pretty pleased of myself.
Thank you all who visited my store, who pressed the like button on facebook or read my articles. Have a lovely day and please share this with others. It will help me a lot.
bye bye

My world

Here we are again, Sunday. How was your week? Mine was pretty busy. The shop is going better and better. I started to deliver in other cities also and  I had yesterday a helping-hand from Laura. She just came one day and ask me if I accept voluntary work. Why not?
Since I started this business the days are passing  so quickly. I said I should share some photos of this lovely place where I spend almost 10 hours a day. Soon the Christmas will be here and I'm so looking forward. I'm excited to design my shopwindows with Christmas tree and presents. I know that my home Christmas tree will be gold and silver.. but I do not have a clue how this one will look. I'm sure it will look lovely consider that I will fill it with Christmas decorations from my shop.
The weather is starting to be so wintry and for the last 2 days a dense fog makes the city disappear. The trees are all white and the streets are empty. Looks interesting. Pretty bad I don't have time to take some pictures.
It might be a bit early but I want to hear from you if you thought about this Christmas? Mine will be a creazy one. New house, few hours in the shop and probably a family dinner with my/boyfriend's family. For sure it will be a special one.
Wish you all  the best and good luck in everything you do.

I had a pretty amazing week. Starting with OK sales and very nice people whom visited my store, then an appearance in another blog, hosting another article and having a good time with my friends. What else can I ask? ... I wanted to share with you this incredible feeling of reading about yourself in another blog. I really cried a bit. For years I've been reading about how others started with blogging and then becoming one of the very  known designers, or opened their own store ..etc .. and here I am reading about me, as if I was reading about another person who I can easily admire. One of my wishes lately is to be a good example for others. I started to see that people really appreciate what I do, some tell me how they wish to be me, family and friends are proud of me. I am overwealed by how my life is, but I know how much effort I put to have it like this. Nothing comes without hard work and discipline.
I have to thank Kittenhood  ( Daria) for writing such a nice article about my shop and making my days filled with happy tears. So, Thank you Daria .

Guest Posting - Arcadian Lighting

Few days ago I've been so surprised to be contacted by Jenn from  Arcadian Lighting, who proposed a guest posting- writing about one of my favorite subjects -shabby chic. Thank you Jenn for this amazing post. I love it all the way and the selection is everything I wanted to get inspired. I have to move and I want to change some things here and there ( to give a bit of personality to the house). Thank you again xoxox

Hello there! I'm Jenn and I'm one of the lucky writers at Arcadian Lighting, a website and blog that specializes in profiling the top light fixture trends worldwide. I've been writing about home decor for more than a decade, and I feel privileged to be guest posting on an incredible blog like Sunny Side Up - Mihaela's posts get my creative juices flowing. I'm thrilled to be writing here today - thank you for this opportunity! Chic and shabby living rooms are all the rage right now - subtle yet crisp colour palettes, clean lines, dashes of antiques, and a sweet ceiling light or two can come together in perfect harmony. Pretty and always comfy, here are eight chic and shabby living rooms that make them the envy of spaces everywhere.
Living Room
An all-white color scheme screams chic and shabby - the linen window shades, stately double white mantels, and reupholstered couches look striking.
Living Room
A chic and shabby living room looks decidedly homey with dashes of color and pattern in the throw cushions and blooming centerpiece. The petite white lamp is a charming touch.
Living Room
Pale blue walls and accents give this chic and shabby living room an ocean of personality. The wood screen behind the couch is an unique touch.
Living Room
Shabby chic doesn't have to mean stark, as evidenced by this vibrant living room - an eclectic mix of wall hangings, glass bottles, and light fixtures create a one-of-a-kind space.
Living Room
A modern take on a chic and shabby living room, the uniformity of the wall art over this elongated couch lends a contemporary look to this home decor approach.
Living Room
This living room doubles as a guest space and there's no shortage of clever details here: the daybed with built-in storage, haphazardly hung framed prints, and wall lamp all mesh beautifully.
Living Room
A chic and shabby living room that goes rustic and colorful all at once is a brilliant surprise - the green and white stripes and weathered woods ironically complement one another.
Living Room
This chic and shabby living room is streamlined in white with a muted rattan carpet and incredible outdoor views. Chic and shabby interior design doesn't have to be predictable, visit Arcadian Lighting's website for a wide selection of lighting fixture options to choose from. (Images: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
