Celebration

Today I have my first "one month" celebration since I opened my store. My very first one and more to come, I hope. In one month I had: 12 000 viewers on my blog Happy Decor Boutique  , 420 likes on Facebook, 3 features in different blogs, 1 article in a local newspaper, good sales,  lots of congrats from costumers and excitement from family and friends. I never thought that things will move this fast and people appreciate it so much. When I started the process of building this business I told my mom: even if I will have it open for 1 day it will worth the effort...now I can say: even if I will manage to keep it going till after Christmas, it will worth it.... let's see what will happen.  There are a lot of other things to be done but for now I'm pretty pleased of myself.

My work- illustrations

I decided to show you some illustration I've made lately for a friend . She just moved in a new flat and she asked me to fill her rooms with Paintings and illustrations. I was so happy to do it as I was waiting for a cause to bring alive my ideas. They are different styles because they suppose to be hanged in different rooms: kitchen, dining-room or livingroom. I'm in a period of light, fluid colours so it was a little hard to came-up with what she wished for: bold colours. All in all she was very happy with the results and so am I. I never made this type of illustration, so I was a bit surprised to see how good they look. It's all about having the paint/illustration already in your head and then you'll be satisfied with your work; when I start a paint without knowing what I want, I will change it at least 3 times in till something comes up ...so better wait longer till the idea will rise then hurry things and give-up in the end.

Lady collection ~earrings

I'm proud to show you 2 pairs of earrings from my new collection named ~Lady posted on my other blog HappyDecoBoutique . In a week I will have another Handmade Fair , so because last time I've been left without any items , I tried to make time between my work at the company and my drawing , to be able to come-out with new accessories . This are made for glamorous girls , feminine and delicate taste. For you Ladies ... looking forward to hear your opinions about my earrings . xxoo

Cameleon

Today I received some emails from my brother who is in India and I was so happy to hear that he is so excited of everything that happens around him . So I thought it's a good idea to share with you a small part of our collaboration . The picture below was made in Bucuresti in our bohemian house where we both leaved for almost half a year and where we had such a nice time together . The model was found in a Club at a party ...a young girl with a lot of patience . She stood for hours to paint her and try to hold still when me and my brother were spinning around her , one with airbrush and one with a brush and time to time with the camera . This was suppose to be an exercise , a sample of what was next to be done ( a series of this type of body painting ) but it end up a nice peace of work . I retouched it very little , believe me .

My own Boutique

Finally I created my other blog for those who wish to buy my accessories . There will be different types of objects : accessories , decorations , painting , photos , cards and the list will continue , I hope so . My new boutique

I always dreamed to have my one "studio shop" . A space to create and sell my designs . Unfortunately in this time of recession I do not have enough courage to start fulfilling my dream . That doesn't mean that a should give up . I will just wait for the right moment and start with small steps :first I made a blog where I can sell my new creations . I posted just a sample of what I will offer and hope soon I will release it officially as I didn't broth together to many peaces . Excited to give you the big news soon and hope some of you will buy something .
