Illustrated Books-Gabriella Barouch

I really admire those who still believe in poetry and books. The sensation of holding a book, the smell of paper and ink can't be compared  with reading online. I'm still buying old books although I can't read them ( they are in Russian or German) I still prefer to read classics from my grandmother's library, or to spend time in a antique store. One of the artists I would like to have on my shelf is Gabriella Barouch. She blow me away with her complexity and in the same time-simplicity. Not only that her drawings are amazing but she creates  an interesting infusion of texture, nature elements and creatures of any kind. I like her art a lot.

My work- illustrations

I decided to show you some illustration I've made lately for a friend . She just moved in a new flat and she asked me to fill her rooms with Paintings and illustrations. I was so happy to do it as I was waiting for a cause to bring alive my ideas. They are different styles because they suppose to be hanged in different rooms: kitchen, dining-room or livingroom. I'm in a period of light, fluid colours so it was a little hard to came-up with what she wished for: bold colours. All in all she was very happy with the results and so am I. I never made this type of illustration, so I was a bit surprised to see how good they look. It's all about having the paint/illustration already in your head and then you'll be satisfied with your work; when I start a paint without knowing what I want, I will change it at least 3 times in till something comes up ...so better wait longer till the idea will rise then hurry things and give-up in the end.

Luminosity

I would like to continue to promote some talented artist found on deviantart .This evening I found her : Lois van Baarle . She's doing a fantastic job playing with light and colour in such a way . She is mastering the technique of shadowing , brushing, blending and drawing on an equal level ; a high level . Very rarely you can find such an atmosphere in an illustration . Congrats for her ! Like it ?

Manipulation

Great artist . I always wondered where can computer manipulation can get . I still appreciate better a peace of art made by hand than a computer technique , but I admire the creativity and perfection of this type of illustrations . This artist leaves me speechless .

Anthony Harmon

After a post more girlish , I said I should come-up with something more powerful , manly ( you can tell that the illustration below are made by a man's eyes , hands and mind ) . There are full of energy , straight , bold and colorful . Also the subjects are common with a guy passion . I leave this to your judgment and I welcome you into Anthony Harmon's world . I came across his deviantart page an year ago and I was fascinated by his computer skills and the quality of his images . So full of details and elements , in an amazing perfect lighting . Like it ?

Eddie Ochoa -Brownboots

3 years ago I discovered the never ending source of inspiration ( like Flickr , Blog and others ) named : DeviantArt . This page has millions of viewers everyday and lots and lots of good artists . I have my own page Mihaela8 . I use to look for new talented artists almost every day , but those times are gone as I have a job and I started to blog . But, from time to time I like to be in touch with my old habits and to have a look and see what direction art is taking . The artist shown today is incredibly interesting , original and powerful. I like his style a lot . His combination of colors , lines, symbols and metaphoric elements "lives me with my mouth open",it amazes me. His name is Eddie Ochoa and you find it as ~brownboots .
