Today I have my first "one month" celebration since I opened my store. My very first one and more to come, I hope. In one month I had: 12 000 viewers on my blog Happy Decor Boutique , 420 likes on Facebook, 3 features in different blogs, 1 article in a local newspaper, good sales, lots of congrats from costumers and excitement from family and friends. I never thought that things will move this fast and people appreciate it so much. When I started the process of building this business I told my mom: even if I will have it open for 1 day it will worth the effort...now I can say: even if I will manage to keep it going till after Christmas, it will worth it.... let's see what will happen. There are a lot of other things to be done but for now I'm pretty pleased of myself.
Thank you all who visited my store, who pressed the like button on facebook or read my articles. Have a lovely day and please share this with others. It will help me a lot.
bye bye

My world
Here we are again, Sunday. How was your week? Mine was pretty busy. The shop is going better and better. I started to deliver in other cities also and I had yesterday a helping-hand from Laura. She just came one day and ask me if I accept voluntary work. Why not?
Since I started this business the days are passing so quickly. I said I should share some photos of this lovely place where I spend almost 10 hours a day. Soon the Christmas will be here and I'm so looking forward. I'm excited to design my shopwindows with Christmas tree and presents. I know that my home Christmas tree will be gold and silver.. but I do not have a clue how this one will look. I'm sure it will look lovely consider that I will fill it with Christmas decorations from my shop.
The weather is starting to be so wintry and for the last 2 days a dense fog makes the city disappear. The trees are all white and the streets are empty. Looks interesting. Pretty bad I don't have time to take some pictures.
It might be a bit early but I want to hear from you if you thought about this Christmas? Mine will be a creazy one. New house, few hours in the shop and probably a family dinner with my/boyfriend's family. For sure it will be a special one.
Wish you all the best and good luck in everything you do.

I had a pretty amazing week. Starting with OK sales and very nice people whom visited my store, then an appearance in another blog, hosting another article and having a good time with my friends. What else can I ask? ... I wanted to share with you this incredible feeling of reading about yourself in another blog. I really cried a bit. For years I've been reading about how others started with blogging and then becoming one of the very known designers, or opened their own store ..etc .. and here I am reading about me, as if I was reading about another person who I can easily admire. One of my wishes lately is to be a good example for others. I started to see that people really appreciate what I do, some tell me how they wish to be me, family and friends are proud of me. I am overwealed by how my life is, but I know how much effort I put to have it like this. Nothing comes without hard work and discipline.
I have to thank Kittenhood ( Daria) for writing such a nice article about my shop and making my days filled with happy tears. So, Thank you Daria .

Guest Posting - Arcadian Lighting
Few days ago I've been so surprised to be contacted by Jenn from Arcadian Lighting, who proposed a guest posting- writing about one of my favorite subjects -shabby chic. Thank you Jenn for this amazing post. I love it all the way and the selection is everything I wanted to get inspired. I have to move and I want to change some things here and there ( to give a bit of personality to the house). Thank you again xoxox
Hello there! I'm Jenn and I'm one of the lucky writers at Arcadian Lighting, a website and blog that specializes in profiling the top light fixture trends worldwide. I've been writing about home decor for more than a decade, and I feel privileged to be guest posting on an incredible blog like Sunny Side Up - Mihaela's posts get my creative juices flowing. I'm thrilled to be writing here today - thank you for this opportunity! Chic and shabby living rooms are all the rage right now - subtle yet crisp colour palettes, clean lines, dashes of antiques, and a sweet ceiling light or two can come together in perfect harmony. Pretty and always comfy, here are eight chic and shabby living rooms that make them the envy of spaces everywhere.
An all-white color scheme screams chic and shabby - the linen window shades, stately double white mantels, and reupholstered couches look striking.
A chic and shabby living room looks decidedly homey with dashes of color and pattern in the throw cushions and blooming centerpiece. The petite white lamp is a charming touch.
Pale blue walls and accents give this chic and shabby living room an ocean of personality. The wood screen behind the couch is an unique touch.
Shabby chic doesn't have to mean stark, as evidenced by this vibrant living room - an eclectic mix of wall hangings, glass bottles, and light fixtures create a one-of-a-kind space.
A modern take on a chic and shabby living room, the uniformity of the wall art over this elongated couch lends a contemporary look to this home decor approach.
This living room doubles as a guest space and there's no shortage of clever details here: the daybed with built-in storage, haphazardly hung framed prints, and wall lamp all mesh beautifully.
A chic and shabby living room that goes rustic and colorful all at once is a brilliant surprise - the green and white stripes and weathered woods ironically complement one another.
This chic and shabby living room is streamlined in white with a muted rattan carpet and incredible outdoor views.
Chic and shabby interior design doesn't have to be predictable, visit Arcadian Lighting's website for a wide selection of lighting fixture options to choose from. (Images: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)

The Poet I met- Pat Ingoldsby
GOING UP
A sharp, angular bony little lady
was reading a book on the bus
all the way into town.
Fierce concentration
and a tight mouth.
It was called- Give Yourself
A Spiritual Life Every Day.
She didn't look the slightest bit
more lifted when we got there.
This is how Pat Ingoldsby starts his new series of poems from his new book. I'm not a poetry type, but for so many reasons, which you will discover soon, he captured my attention. He is interesting in every way, eccentric and complex. He sales his
books on the street, and not because he doesn't have any other
option...no, not at all. He could have money, fame and success..but he
didn't wanted. He prefers to be free of any king of rules, organizations
or society. His poems are everything that he is: thoughts, everyday
experiences, dreams, past, present and future. It definitely lifts a bit my mood. I lived in Dublin for one year and this is how I met him. We were neighbors and he is one of the best friends ( if I can say this) to my boyfriend's parents.
I will try the show to the whole world what a brilliant poet lives in Dublin. So, if you have the chance to visit the Ireland capital, just say hello to Pat from me and buy his book. You will make him very happy.
PS: On Wednesday I was talking about Pat with Liana (my boyfriends mother) and after 1 minute I received a letter. It was a postcard from Pat with Good Luck and few words from his heart. I can't tell you how happy I was.And the second day, it was for the first time when I heard Pat's voice on the phone. I know him a bit and I know how a big deal this is.
So hope you will enjoy his poems and leave some comments for him, so I can transmit them.
Till next time: be happy making small things.
