Daily wisdom: What we need to know

"Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know." ~ Pema Chodron.

This being the case it is pointless fighting against the universe, against the people we perceive as causing us pain, it is pointless getting anxious, doubting, worrying or living in fear.

Resistance will teach us nothing, it will take us nowhere, it will destroy our happiness. Resistance and fear serves only to fuel the situation and attract more of the same into our life until we "SEE" what we need to see and "LEARN" what we need to learn.

That which we perceive to be the problem is in fact the path. The path to spiritual growth, understanding and through mastery over situations - the path to deep peace and serenity.

If you are faced with challenging people or situations and want to shift it quickly, you must work with it, not against it. Happiness doesn't fall in our lap - we must be willing to work for it.

A prayer for those who believe in it's power :
Dear God (Buddha/Higher Power) I am faced with a challenging situation and I'm not sure what to do about it. The harder I try to remove the problem or fix it the worse it seems to become. The more I run from the problem, the more it keeps showing up in other areas of my life. I am exhausted and I need your help.

Forgive me for I am still learning that I do not need to do this on my own. I am still learning that it is my own mind and perception that creates and fuels the situation, therefore it cannot also be the answer. I need a healed perception.

Please show me what it is I need to see, teach me what it is I need to learn. Please reveal to me how I may take this situation and use it for the greatest good. I place my complete faith and trust in You.

I accept nothing less than Your will for me. Please help me to quieten my mind so that I may hear Your guidance above all the noise and distraction in my life. Today I will keep a space open for You and know I am following Your will when I feel deep peace and serenity. Thank you in advance for Your guidance. Thank you in advance for the miracle I am about to receive. Thy will be done. Amen

Daily wisdom : RIDING THE WAVE OF TRUTH

"I care about truth not for truth's sake but for my own." ~ Samuel Butler.

One of the most empowering things we can do for ourselves is to admit that we are not perfect. We are human and we frequently make mistakes. But when our mistakes affect others, it's important that we do not pretend they never happened, that it doesn't matter, and we must especially be careful not to justify our actions. This serves only to hold us back on the path of spiritual growth and mastery.

Guilt is a heavy burden to carry indeed and we can often drown in it.

Step 10 allows us to ride the spiritual wave from new heights. It allows us to take personal inventory and when wrong promptly admit it. When we admit to the error and take responsibility for it, something powerful begins to manifest within our inner being. The path becomes lighter, easier, and we free our energy to move closer to our Higher Self and Higher Purpose.

Today I summon whatever courage is required of me to stare truth in the face. I develop pride and power by owning my mistakes in the same way I do in owning my achievements. I make amends when I do harm and I enjoy the spiritual high that comes from right action.

Words from Dalai Lama -receiving affection

"Compassion creates a positive, friendly atmosphere. With such an attitude, you can create the possibility of receiving affection or a positive response from someone else. If the other person doesn't respond to you in a positive way, your own feeling of openness gives you the flexibility and freedom to change your appro...ach as needed and still allows for the possibility of having a meaningful conversation with them." Dalai Lama - self-centered attitude

"Too much of a self-centered attitude creates mistrust and suspicion in others, which can in turn lead to fear. But if you have more of an open mind, and you cultivate a sense of concern for others' well-being, then, no matter what others' attitudes are, you can keep your inner peace." Dalai Lama

Words from Dalai Lama -love

"Our life depends on others so much that at the root of our existence is a fundamental need for love. That is why it is good to cultivate an authentic sense of responsibility and concern for the welfare of others."

Words from Dalai Lama -compassionate mind

"The compassionate mind is very important. Fear, anger, jealousy are based on a self-centered attitude. By developing a sense of caring for others' well-being your heart automatically opens and that brings transparency, straightforwardness and honesty, which leads to friendship. We are social animals, and one individual...'s survival relies entirely on the rest of the community."

Words from Dalai Lama

I'm a huge fan of Dalai Lama and I read everything that his Holiness writes or is related with him. I would like to share with you, occasionally , some messages from him and hope it will help you , as it does every day for me .
Just let your mind free of any prejudice or Ego thoughts . You will learn to be more wised , relaxed , joyful and it will help you cope easily with all around you .

Dalai Lama:

"If you have peace of mind, when you meet with problems and difficulties they won’t disturb your inner peace. You’ll be able to employ your human intelligence more effectively. But, if your mental state is disturbed, full of emotion, it is very difficult to cope with problems, because the mind that is full of emotion is... biased, unable to see reality. So whatever you do will be unrealistic and naturally fail."

After a brilliant and full weekend

Things happened this weekend which made me think how fool and blind I became lately because of some events that captured my attention and surrounded me like a fog full of bad taste of fake ugly people . Unfortunately , you can't avoid this parts of life which are more and more visible , but you definitely can reduce them and increase the number of cherished moments . I had such a good time and met so many beautiful people from whom I learned to take life less serious and have more fun .

Nothing is accidental !!! things happen for a big reason : to learn something from them !! and if you find yourself in the position of wounder : Why me? or Why do I have to endure the same problems ? ...... because you haven't learned anything from it . So , try and find the lesson which makes you wiser and every time there's a obstacle in front of you , think of doing the opposite way as last time .

Also do not forget that "we are shaped by our thought " . Take it easy and make your life more simple , be surrounded by amazing people and laugh a lot .

And after that , if this things won't happened than ask yourself : what did I do wrong?

Beauty is not something that you can buy or you can put some clothes on you and boom you are somebody else . The ugliness of a person can't be covered by make-up . Everybody can see you who you really are and only some can appreciate that .

Everything can change if you change yourself in a better person . Starting now !!!

I made a small selection of wise word for you . Hope it will help .

1 October Offering

The reality is that nobody is one hundred per cent bad .
they must have some good qualities if you search hard enough.
So, the tendency to see someone as completely negative is due to your own perception based on your own mental projection , rather than the true nature of that individual .

19 Steps In How to Enjoy Life

From the same amazing blog ( Time Warp Wives ). I can't stop reading it and post it on my blog .

With all the things of life that might be stressing to us, sometimes we forget how to enjoy life. The following list will help you to make small changes in your life, so that you can again enjoy it!

1. Learn to be positive!
If you keep moaning about your life, other people will only notice the bad aspects of your character and categorize you as a person who is 'Boring' - or worse! Who wants to spend time with a wet blanket! Go to places where people are positive and support you with positive thoughts.

2. Be generous. A little generosity goes a long way. Give and people return the favor to you and you will be known as a generous person.

3. Make a list of all the things you want to do and do them! If you've always wanted to audition for theater, then go ahead and do it! This will help to reduce 'hanging around' and wishing. This even applies if you want to be an astronaut : you might not effectively become one, but becoming savvy in astrophysics and space will make you realize that you're capable of it.

4. Keep trying. One of the key things that you need to remember is to never be discouraged; failure is a part of life, and it happens naturally. If you are so disillusioned that you never want to try again, at least be comforted by the fact that you made an attempt.

5. Stop doing things that you do not enjoy. Make a list of the things that you are doing that you don't enjoy, and try to stop doing them. Naturally, this shouldn't mean that you should drop out of school if you don't like studying, but you might consider working for a new company if you are constantly stressed and pressured by your job. If it's not possible to stop, try to see the positive side of those things and find ways to make them entertaining. Nobody enjoys cleaning the kitchen fan or the toilet, but if you do these chores with full awareness and make them into a meditation, you will be surprised how quiet your mind will become and how much happiness these chores will give you.

6. Find a hobby. You might take up collecting stamps or coins, or you might learn more about photography or art. You don't have to spend your entire life doing it; the whole purpose of the hobby is to vary your routine and do something worthwhile.

7. Stop watching TV or at least limit the amount of time you spend on it. Watching TV is passive entertainment and enjoyment in life comes from trying and doing things yourself instead of watching other people do things. Watching people swim is not the same as swimming. Watching other people hike or climb a mountain is not the same as hiking or climbing mountains. This is pretty obvious but still many people prefer second hand experiences to living life to the full. The same goes for playing TV or computer games for hours on end. Go out and do something. You will feel healthier too.

8. Enjoy feeling proud. If you're proud of something be it: an essay, a new deck you built, a promotion, or a song you composed. Hold on to it for dear life, because there's nothing more important than maintaining your self-esteem. Improving your self esteem increases your confidence and is a first step towards finding happiness and a better life.

9. Stay healthy. Make part of your life eating right and exercising, because it helps keep the body running at the top of its game.

10. Be open to change. Changes in your job, friends, a move, or anything else that may come your way. With practice you will b

How to have courage!

I found this today and I had to share it with you . I got it from a blog named Time Warp Wives.

In ordinary life, we tend to live in our own little area of comfort. Often referred to as our "comfort zone", this is the safety barrier that we build around ourselves to protect us from feelings of hurt, upset and a desire to react defensively. Every day, it helps to take a step outside this comfort zone to extend our limits and explore more life. Healthy challenges help us to build courage and strength!

1- Do one little thing outside your comfort zone every day. It doesn't have to be a big step, just something different from what you normally do or say. Even changing your thoughts about someone or something that has been bothering you can have a big impact on opening yourself up to new perspectives about the world and ways of coping with difficult situations.

2- Believe in yourself. Surround yourself with people who believe in you also, will help. Your sense of self-value will be enhanced if you give yourself the opportunity to "think that you can be someone or do something". Believing in your skills and abilities is key to using them well and this is bolstered by the love and compliments from those who care about you.

3- Create some goals for each day. Start off with small goals to make changes to your lifestyle that will help you to grow more courageous and forthright in your approach to the world. Start small and be more open and trusting of your acquaintances, then your community, then your region and finally, your world. Over time, your goals can grow bigger and bigger, as you grow more and more courageous about interacting with others and sharing your skills and knowledge.

4- Have a good attitude. When faced with something frightening, think of it as a challenge that can be changed into an opportunity. Turn the challenge into a duty that you have to do, and do not question it, just deal with it. It's much easier to be scared when you don't have to do that frightening task - when you must face it, you suddenly find yourself reaching on reserves inside yourself that you probably didn't realize were there. Trust your instincts, skills and judgment and face the challenge head on.

5- Don't hesitate. If, say, you're doing something that requires a "sudden plunge", for example, picking up a spider if you hate spiders, or jumping from a ledge if you hate heights, do not do a countdown. That only makes it worse. Instead, simply hold your breath, quickly assess the situation for the safest option and go for it.

10th of September Offering

" When mind is haughty, sarcastic, full of conceit and arrogance, ridiculing, evasive and deceitful, when it is inclined to boast, or when it is contemptuous of others, abusive and irritable, then remain still like a piece of wood " (Shantideva - Offerings albume)

Ordinariness

Sometimes it happens that you become one, in some rare moment. Watch the ocean, the tremendous wildness of it--and suddenly you forget your split, your schizophrenia; you relax. Or, moving in the Himalayas, seeing the virgin snow on the Himalayan peaks, suddenly a coolness surrounds you and you need not be false because there is no other human being to be false to. You fall together. Or, listening to beautiful music, you fall together. Whenever, in whatsoever situation, you become one, a peace, a happiness, a bliss, surrounds you, arises in you. You feel fulfilled. There is no need to wait for these moments--these moments can become your natural life. These extraordinary moments can become ordinary moments - that is the whole effort of Zen. You can live an extraordinary life in a very ordinary life: cutting wood, chopping wood, carrying water from the well, you can be tremendously at ease with yourself. Cleaning the floor, cooking food, washing the clothes, you can be perfectly at ease--because the whole question is of you doing your action totally, enjoying, delighting in it.

Osho Dang Dang Doko Dang Chapter 3

OSHO wisdom

You carry your wound. With the ego, your whole being is a wound. And you carry it around. Nobody is interested in hurting you, nobody is positively waiting to hurt you; everybody is engaged in safeguarding his own wound. Who has got the energy? But still it happens, because you are so ready to be wounded, so ready, just waiting on the brink for anything.

You cannot touch a man of Tao. Why? - because there is no one to be touched. There is no wound. He is healthy, healed, whole. This word whole is beautiful. The word heal comes from the whole, and the word holy also comes from the whole. He is whole, healed, holy.

Be aware of your wound. Don't help it to grow, let it be healed; and it will be healed only when you move to the roots. The less the head, the more the wound will heal; with no head there is no wound. Live a headless life. Move as a total being, and accept things.

Just for twenty-four hours, try it - total acceptance, whatsoever happens. Someone insults you, accept it; don't react, and see what happens. Suddenly you will feel an energy flowing in you that you have not felt before.

We are shaped by our thoughts.
We become what we think .
When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves .
