Shabby Chic Interiors

It's Sunday, and although the weather is gloomy, the Spring is in the air. You can see it on the streets, on how people dress-up, in the window displays of the shops, in the flower shops and on people faces. And because I have to come-up with a new Spring window display at a cupcake shop,I had to dedicate this morning to this project. So,  I had to surf trough internet for some ideas. It took me few minutes to find this amazing images ... and now, here I am getting excited about this lovely interior and dreaming with my eyes open for hours..................
Feminine, romantic, light and full of life, shabby chic style is more and more found in the latest trends and home products shops, in Romania. At the moment, I do not share my flat with someone, so I can "shabby-chic it"  as much as I want. I have to say that this style it's hard to be adapted to a couple, as it is way to feminine for a man. Therefore, get wild single ladies; until a man will come into your life and leave their socks on the floor, their gadgets all over and ask to get rid of your "needless"decorations.

Have to leave you now, but I wish you a sunny Sunday and a good week ahead.

With love,
Mihaela

Copper accents in interior design

pinterest
I'm not up-to-date with this year trends in interior design, but I'm pretty sure that copper color or textures is one of them. I'm more and more in love of this metal, no matter how is used, as: jewelery, interior design objects, fashion etc. I like a lot  the light shades and vases, which gives a glitter to your atmosphere but not over doing it. It's just the right amount which makes  your place look richer. But what I like the most is that feeling of industrial touch. I'm petty sure that it's not easy to maintain it clean all the time, but it worth buying few objects. Don't you think?

Love turns you upside-down and inside-out by Kaminohana and The Tailor

It's time for me to talk about my projects and work; and what a better way to begin than showing you my own shop window display of this month.  It's a collaboration between me and a lovely couple ( Adelina and Vlad Sulea ). I met Adelina not long time ago at a Fair and I was amazed by her work. Some know her as: Kaminohana  and she makes this amazing paper flowers in different colors, shapes and size. My favorite ones are the black ones ( you can find them on her website- which, btw is so cool and professional made ) and the cherry-tree branches. After,we met in a bar, I convinced her ( very easily  - just by showing her some pics of my shop ) to fill my windows with her beautiful flowers, we met once and discussed  what we want to do and on the third meeting she came with Vlad who brought the marker with him (he was mastering the art of window drawings). I have to admit that I didn't do much ( few ideas and coordination), but I plan on doing myself the March month display.  All done in 1 hour ... and the result is so nice. Isn't it?!
Now, everybody admires them and stops each time they cross by. It's so nice to watch them how they react.
Seeing them each day, gives me such a nice feeling of spring and joy .
Like them?

CATALINA ESTRADA - more than a wallpaper

“I love colors and shapes and if I have a choice I want to make them beautiful.”
Catalina Estrada is one of those artists who brings home accessories to another level. What she does it's called art in all it's meaning. The color pallet is amazing, the illustrations are complex and as you can see, her favorite theme is nature. My words can't describe her designs, but the images can.
Few words about her :

"Unconditional lover of nature. Passionate about colors. Fascinated by textures, details, shapes and beauty. Such is Catalina Estrada, Colombian illustrator based in Barcelona since 1999 who has managed to reinterpret the Latin American folklore with its original strength to make it bloom in deep harmony and simplicity. Her impressive and cheerful visual language, infectiously optimistic, with thousands of colors, and with all the power of nature, goes beyond borders."

So, I leave you to enjoy her website and congratulate those who have her products.
